DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina would attend her office at Power and Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Sunday, likely with a set of directions to be handed down to the authorities dealing with the potential twin-sector.
During her office time, the Prime Minister will be apprised of the overall progress and problems of the sector, official sources said.
She is likely to give guidelines on making the development works under the sector more dynamic, a source in the ministry said.
State Minister for Power and Energy Enamul Haq told banglanews24.com.bd that the PM would attend office Sunday “to know overall affairs of the ministry”.
Ministry sources said work on preparing a summary on the latest progress of energy sector has already been prepared for placing before the premier, who also holds the energy-and-power portfolio.
Matters related to finalization of the draft coal policy, search for oil and gas in deep sea, latest condition of the existing gas fields, and progress on rehabilitation in Baropukuria coalmine area will be placed before the PM.
