SATHKHIRA: A man was killed as a covered van crashed into his motorcycle in Tala upazila here Saturday morning.

The deceased was named as Shahidul Islam, 40, owner of Shuvo Diagnostic in Tala upazila headquarters.

Police and witnesses said the Paikgachha-bound van of Aarong Dairy smashed the bike at around 10 am, killing its rider Shahidul on the spot.

The body was sent to police station.

Police also seized the van and arrested its driver from Gonali Nolta area.
