DHAKA: Bangladesh Private College Honours Teachers’ Association (BPCHTA) Sunday threatened to go on fast unto death if the teachers appointed under honours and Masters quota are not included in the MPO list.

The threat came from a press conference held at the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity office on Sunday where BPCHTA convener Kazi Mohammad Farukh read out a written statement.

Putting the 8-point demand, the association leaders said if their demands are not met immediately, they would boycott classes on August 27 and 28 and then start non-stop boycotting of classes.

They will also stage a sit-in demonstration on September 20 at 10 am at local press clubs in all upazilas and districts and submit  memorandum to the Prime Minister, Education Minister and Education Advisor  through the deputy commissioners.
