DHAKA: The High Court Monday directed the Public Service Commission (PSC) to take a decision by October 3 about the 30th BCS preliminary exam, allegedly marred by question errors.
An HC division bench comprising Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik and Justice Sheikh Md Zakir Hossain passed the order following a petition submitted by the PSC.
The court hoped that the authorities concerned would take an “acceptable decision” regarding the issue within the timeline.
The court adjourned the hearing on the petition till October 3.
Earlier on Sunday, the same bench directed the PSC not to publish the results until further order in response to a writ petition of 19 candidates of the examinations.
As per the petition filed on August 5, candidates were victim of “errors” in at least 15 questions of set-2 question paper.
The 30th BCS Preliminary test was held on July 30 at 110 centers in six divisional headquarters with about 147,988 applicants vying for 2,572 posts.
