Wife stabs husband to death

DHAKA: A man, who was stabbed by his wife, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday in the capital, police and medical sources said.

Police said Abdur Rahman, 40, a resident of Ulan area in Rampura of the capital and son of Rawshan Ali, was severely injured as his wife Nasrin Akhter stabbed him on Friday over family dispute.

Rampura police sub-inspector Nabi Hossain said the body of Rahman was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue from National Institute of Chest Diseases & Hospital at Mohakhali.

Rampura police said Nasrin stabbed her husband over family dispute while local people took him to Chest Disease Hospital where he died on Saturday.

A murder case has been lodged with Rampura police.
