ASHUGANJ: A head-on collision between a truck and a bus on Dhaka-Sylhet highway here killed four people and injured another 27 on Sunday.

The deceased bus passengers were Muslem Mia, 35, Shahin, 38, Khalilur Rahman, 42 and Renu Mia, 40 hailed from Sunamganj, Barisal, Dhaka and Comilla respectively.

Ashuganj thana OC Abu Jafar said that a Dhaka-bound passenger bus of Nur Paribahan from Sylhet collided with a parked good-laden truck in Sohagpur area here that killed Muslem Mia on the spot and injured 30 at around 4am.

Later three of the injured died on the way to Bhairab upazila health complex.
