COMILLA: A bus carrying the students of Comilla University ran over a passerby in Mogoltuli area in the district town on Monday morning.

Witnesses, said the bus ran over the man at about 9am, killing him on the spot. After the accident, the bus driver, helper and the students left the place quickly.

The identity of the man could not be ascertained yet. But, a document of a case was found in his pocket that reads--  plaintiff Monir Hossain,50, son of Kalu Mia, Daudkandi upazila, Titas thana, village Ziakandi.

On information, Kotwali Thana police rushed in and seized the bus. The body was sent to Comilla Medical Collage Hospital Morgue for autopsy, said police.
