An Indian shot dead by BSF

SATKHIRA: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead an Indian cowboy early Thursday in Jalalpur frontier area of India, according to information received here.

Local sources told banglanews24.com.bd that the members of BSF from their temporary camp at Jalalpur fired towards Bangladesh territory “without any instigation”. The boy fell in the line of fire and died on the spot.

According to Satkhira BDR sources, Bashirhat Thana police recovered the body of the cowboy who was killed at the time of crossing the border with cattle.

Commander Lt. Colonel Iqbal Azim of 41 Rifles Battalion said they protested the firing by BSF targeting Bangladesh territories.

Earlier on Wednesday, BSF men shot to death a Bangladeshi in Ghozadanga area of India, opposite to Bhomra border.
